The Berlin Wall Memorial is a central site in the remembrance of a divided Germany. Bernauer Straße became a symbol of Berlin‘s division upon the Wall‘s construction on August 13, 1961. The street shows especially poignant traces of the division.

Berlin’s most legendary street market invites you to get lost each Sunday. If you feel like munching, there’s an amazing vegan gyros stand called “Eat Up”. On other sunny days, Mauerpark is a great spot to chill on the grassy hills or listen to the street musicians. Check out “Sonntagskaraoke am Mauerpark” as every Sunday Berliners visit the Mauerpark to enjoy the karaoke-performances.

Officially, this fenced-in climbing area of the Alpine Club of Berlin may only be used by members, however, this doesn’t keep people from climbing over the fence.
